POEM: Light and Dark

Lightness and Darkness is another Poem Collection I have written. The poems that are included here are mostly speak about darkness or lightness or both. One of the poems from this compilation I want you to share is entitled Light and Dark. Hope you'll like this!!!

In the west,

The wind eerily whispered,

Thunders harshly triggered,

The trees clinched and withered,

By the harsh heart of hatred.

In the east,

The wind softly blew,

The rainbow elapsed from blue,

Plants gloom obviously true,

By the ultimate heart of rue.

In the west,

The heart throbbed,

So hard such barred,

Frowns thy award,

To the woe's reward.

In the east,

Smile was painted,

So happy so pitied,

Wound thy treated,

By the hands that lead.

In the middle,

Light met Darkness,

Thus stopped of bitterness,

Light offered light,

Darkness stood no fight.

Light gleamed a smile,

Darkness faded within a mile,

As different darkness appeared awhile,

They both did reconcile.

Dark shows no harm,

Light shows too much charm,

They held each other's arm,

They both brightened the world so warm.

  1. Epic opposition. Yes, our world is balanced between rising and setting suns, east and west, yin and yang.

  2. I enjoyed how you dealt with the light and the dark and how at the end they held each other's arm and brightened the world together! Well penned.

  3. Your last line is a delightfully optimistic ending.
